Eveline de Bruijn has over 20 years of experience in rule of law, peacebuilding, and more recently also mental health. She began her career with the United Nations in remote areas of South Sudan and Sudan, later supporting complex rule of law and peacebuilding programmes from UN headquarters in New York across multiple conflict-affected contexts.
After leaving the UN, she worked with Oxfam as Senior Justice and Security Advisor, contributing to programmes in Somaliland, South Sudan, and the Central African Republic. She subsequently joined the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Senior Peacebuilding Advisor and Rule of Law Coordinator.
More recently, Eveline has focused on integrating mental health into development and peacebuilding efforts, advising NGOs and the UN. She currently works with the International Development Law Organization and ARQ National Trauma Centre, specialising in refugees and trauma. Eveline holds a LLM Public International Law, MA Conflict Studies and is in the process of obtaining a MA Clinical Psychology.
