Calling all humanitarian and development practitioners, and anyone who wants to know more about the South Sudanese context, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), protection, education, community development and peacebuilding: We invite you to attend the UNHCR launch of the South Sudan Report on Culture, Context and Mental Health and Psychosocial Well-being of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons from South Sudan!
With more than 15 years working to improve mental health and psychosocial wellbeing in South Sudan, HealthNet TPO as contributed to the report which provides background information and social and cultural analysis, as well as key recommendations, for humanitarian and development practitioners working with South Sudanese refugees and internally displaced persons.
It aims to support initiatives on MHPSS, protection, education, community development and peacebuilding.
The launch event offers an opportunity for stakeholders to interact on the key findings of the report.

Boniface Duku: Launch Event Panellist
Joining the UNHCR Launch Event will be HealthNet TPO’s MHPSS Programme Manager Boniface Duku.
Boniface is a qualified Community Development Officer with broad experience working in programme management, mental health, and psychosocial support for over 15 years. In addition to programme management, Boniface has an in-depth mental health and psychosocial support background in managing and developing community based mental health with a specific focus on strengthening local capacities (individuals, families, and communities) in the management of health and psychosocial issues as a way of improving health/development outcomes.
