“Afghan health care is on the brink of collapse, doctors and development organisations say. For years, the international community financed healthcare in Afghanistan through the World Bank. But now that the Taliban are in power, no more money is transferred.”
“Slowly, the whole system stops," says Willem Reussing. “Then a hospital cannot function, then people cannot be helped and then operations cannot be performed. That will lead to the death of people."
